Every horror movie has a setting. A location that makes your skin crawl before anything even happens. What's behind that closet door. A once-abandoned hotel now haunted by the spirits of its past. A dark road. A feeling that makes you want to run from something you can't name.
Tampa Bay has all of them.
The Scary Movie Edition of the Silent Slayer Horror Bus takes you through the real locations horror movies are made of, places where celebrities have spent the night and never quite left. No jump scares on a screen. Just the actual darkness of actual places with haunted histories, and 22 other people who showed up anyway.
Stop 1: The Murder Apartment
A cold case from 1979 that never got solved. A neighbor nicknamed Deliverance. A place your guide used to call home. We don't stop long. Long enough.
Stop 2: The Hacienda Hotel, "Hollywood East"
A fire. An elevator that does what it wants. A former bordello. Prohibition-era smuggling tunnels in the basement. Once a 75-bed home for mental patients. Your guide has spent the night here more than once.
Stop 3: Andrews Memorial Chapel
The church that was cut in half and moved. A worker fell to his death during construction. Your guide has investigated this location many times. See what the spirits have to say, from the yard.
Stop 4: Fenway Hotel, "Grand Lady of Dunedin"
The walls have been holding secrets for over a century. A radio station. A hidden speakeasy. The hotel has passed through a string of owners, foreclosures, and years standing empty.
Stop 5: Secret Cemetery
An undisclosed historic burial ground. A spirit box session with a paranormal investigator. Pitch dark. Bring a flashlight.
Between stops, the bus becomes a rolling tribute to the genre: horror movie trivia with prizes, music trivia, movie-themed snacks, and the kind of conversation that only happens when you're moving through the dark together.
BYOB welcome on the bus. No glass containers. All beverages stay on the bus at every stop. Please drink responsibly. We're visiting historic and residential locations that deserve our respect. This is NOT a party bus. That means you, Ashley, Jennifer, and Lisa. They were my horror story.
