Every horror movie has a setting. A location that makes your skin crawl before anything even happens. The abandoned building. The dark road. The place where something went wrong and never quite recovered.
Tampa Bay has all of them.
The Scary Movie Edition of the Silent Slayer Horror Bus takes you through the real locations that horror movies are made of. No CGI. No jump scares on a screen. Just the actual darkness of actual places with actual history — and 21 other people who showed up anyway.
Stop 1: The Murder Apartment A cold case. A parking lot. A place your guide used to call home. We don't stop long — but long enough.
Stop 2: The Hacienda Hotel, New Port Richey Opened in 1927, this Spanish Colonial landmark was once called "Hollywood East" — Charlie Chaplin, Gloria Swanson, and Johnny Cash all passed through. It's on the National Register of Historic Places. Whatever they left behind may still be there.
Stop 3: Andrews Memorial Chapel, Dunedin Built in 1888 from native Florida heart of pine, this Victorian Gothic chapel sits inside Hammock Park and has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1972. One of the oldest surviving structures in Pinellas County.
Stop 4: Fenway Hotel, Dunedin Built in 1924 at the height of the jazz age, the Grand Lady of Dunedin hosted explorers, politicians, and musicians — and operated the county's first radio station. The walls have been holding secrets for over a century.
Stop 5: Secret Cemetery Undisclosed location. Spirit box session. Pitch dark. Come prepared.
Between stops the bus becomes a rolling tribute to the genre — horror movie trivia with prizes, cinematic themed snacks, music rounds, games, and the kind of conversation that only happens when you're moving through the dark together. BYOB welcome on the bus. No glass containers. All beverages stay on the bus at every stop.
Stops are subject to change due to circumstances beyond our control. Silent Slayer reserves the right to substitute stops of equal or comparable value. All efforts will be made to maintain the integrity of the experience.
Past Horror Bus events have all sold out. This one will too.

The Scary Movie Edition is a four-hour after-dark guided experience through Tampa Bay locations that look and feel like they were pulled straight from a horror film. Guests travel by bus to five stops including a cold case site, a jazz age hotel, a Victorian Gothic chapel, and a secret cemetery. This is not a walking tour and not a performance.
Stops include locations across Pinellas County connected to true crime, celebrity history, and documented paranormal activity. Select stops allow guests to step off the bus and explore. The night ends at an undisclosed cemetery with a spirit box session in the pitch dark.
The Scary Movie Edition Horror Bus runs four hours with a maximum of 22 guests. Limited seating is intentional — previous Horror Bus events have sold out.
Guests must be 21 or older. This is a BYOB event — bring whatever you'd like to drink for the evening. Plan accordingly for four hours on the bus.
No. There are no actors, no costumes, and no scripted performances. These are real locations with real history. Horror movie trivia, themed snacks, music rounds, and games happen between stops — none of it staged, all of it worth showing up for.
An after-hours journey awaits. Limited seats. Don’t be left behind.
